Base Hit Bunt Placement
When bunting for a hit, the goal is to place the bunt perfectly between the hurry and panic zone but anywhere in the panic zone works.
It is okay to miss to the foul side, but you should never bunt the ball back to the pitcher when bunting for a hit.
You can also bunt it hard past the pitcher towards the second baseman.
Right Handed Technique
Wait until the pitcher releases the ball to make your move.
When the pitcher releases the ball, slide your back foot underneath the center of your body.
Move your front in and forward towards the ball.
For a drag bunt to the 3B side, get the knob in front of your left hip to set the angle.
For a push bunt to the 1B side, bunt the ball firmly with the barrel, but do not push at it.
Left Handed Technique
Wait until the pitcher releases the ball to make your move.
For a bunt to the 3B side, bring your left foot to the inside line of the batters box and in line with the first base foul line.
For a drag bunt to the 1B side, the foot work is the same, but get around the ball to force the ball to the right side.
